Rosen Shingle Creek earns five 2019 Stella Awards

Meetings Professionals, Experts Vote to Recognize Excellence in Industry

ORLANDO (Dec. 10, 2019) – The AAA Diamond Rosen Shingle Creek hotel in Orlando is the proud recipient of five prestigious 3rd Annual Stella Awards, including top honors in the Best On-site Support Staff Southeast category, hotel officials announced.

Rosen Shingle Creek also received distinctions in the categories of Best Hotel Southeast, Best Food and Beverage Southeast, Best Golf Resort and Best Decor/Design Southeast. The awards program is administered by Northstar Meetings Group and honors excellence in the meetings industry.

Nominations are voted on by meeting planners and winners are ultimately decided on by an expert panel of judges overseen by the editors of Meetings & Conventions and Successful Meetings, Northstar’s lead magazine brands.

“We are truly honored to be recognized by meeting professionals from around the world in categories that are important to their efforts to create memorable and successful events,” said Leslie Menichini, vice president of sales and marketing for Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “Our staff, especially, is dedicated to ensuring each meeting, large or small, benefits from The Rosen Difference. These awards are further encouragement to continue striving to offer the highest in customer satisfaction.”

As an independently-owned collection of accommodations in Orlando, Rosen Hotels & Resorts – the parent company of Rosen Shingle Creek – is uniquely situated to react quickly and decisively to ensure that planners have all that they need for a thriving event. It is what planners have come to call The Rosen Difference.

Recently the hotel made enhancements to its 1,501 guestrooms including 191 suites and meeting space to add a vibrant touch to its décor, including new carpeting in bold, eye-catching patterns installed in its 524,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.

37 over-sized Grande Suites offer 1,300 sq. ft. of plush surroundings, showcased in shades of black, dark brown and gold set off by a bold pop of red, for a natural Florida with a hint of adventure. A softer, serene side is portrayed in the 69 Executive Suites that use a lighter color base of gray, tan and chrome set off with a touch of teal. Although the palettes and furnishings are vastly different, each evokes a visceral feeling with its own unique, elegant flair. The hotel also features three distinctive Presidential Suites, as well as 30 hospitality suites and 52 Petite King Suites, for an unparalleled variety to meet the needs of groups of any size and budget.

The Stella Awards recognize overall excellence in the meetings industry from among the country’s best hotels, convention centers, conference centers, convention and visitors’ bureaus, destination marketing organizations, destination management companies, airlines and cruise lines. Nearly 10,000 votes were cast from around the world for the 508 destinations, hotels and service providers nominated for the 2019 distinction, resulting in a total of 278 winners and finalists this year.
