ORLANDO, FL (November 28, 2023) – In honor of GivingTuesday, Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center Inc. (RAFC) celebrates today with the ‘Make A Splash’ campaign, encouraging people to donate and help the nonprofit facility reach a goal of $10,000 in donations. These funds will help give the gift of swimming and fund various programs that support diversity and inclusion within the swimming community.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that empowers people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 28, 2023, and throughout the year.
The Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center strives to make a positive impact in the local Orlando community, and donations can help reach residents who might require financial assistance. Donations to the $10,000 goal will help do the following:
- $20 can provide a Special Olympian with a one-month membership
- $150 can teach a child aquatic survival skills
- $250 provides a Special Olympian with a one-year membership
- $500 can teach a child how to swim
- $1,500 can assist the RAFC host a multiple-day event for Special Olympics
“In order to see change, we have to be the change,” said Michael Miller, executive director of the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center. “In this season of giving, we hope our members can help us reach our goal with our mission in mind of providing the community with lessons on drowning prevention and much-needed swimming skills.”
